It's that time of year to rush the halls of local retailers for the best deals before decking the halls for the holidays! Capitol Riverfront neighborhood retailers are joining the Black Friday and Small Business Saturday fun with loads of deals and sweet buys available. Check out the neighborhood deals below, plus a list of options for Giving Tuesday.

A Christmas Special

The Salt Line is offering their 10th Annual Christmas Tree Lot just in time for the holidays, which means you can get your Christmas tree and other decor items early, with an added treat. The tree lot will open Friday, November 26 at 12:00 pm and will run weekly, Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Stands, wreaths, garlands and collectible items will all be on sale from The Burn Foundation, plus a tree purchase will earn you a complimentary hot cocktail.

Sweet Savory Saves

Coldstone Creamery is joining in on the deals, offering $3 off any signature cake, $2 off six-pack ice cream cupcakes, and $1 off a Gotta Have It Size Create Your Own. Purchases can be made in store or online, with free deliveries every Friday through the months of November and December.

Drink Big Pay Less

Come out to the neighborhood during normal business hours on Friday, November 26 for a drink at Atlas Brew Works. The team will host a raffle giveaway with prizes including free pizza, six-packs, cases of beer and gift cards. On Small Business Saturday November 27, the Atlas Team will also be selling gift cards with added bonuses which will include buy $30 get $5, buy $50 get $10 and buy $100 get $25. They will round off the weekend deals with Small Brewery Sunday on November 28, featuring a happy hour special from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm as well as 15 percent off to-go beers all day.

Support Small Businesses

Steadfast Supply will host a Black Friday Sale on November 26 from 10:00 am, which will include 15 percent off all items in store and online. The sale will end on Cyber Monday November 29 at 11:59 pm, and will not include items already discounted or be combined with additional coupon codes. In support of Small Business Saturday on November 27, Capitol Riverfront BID, La Famosa and Steadfast Supply have partnered up to support the 100 plus brands sold within the store, with a festive event featuring an inflatable balloon, a photo booth and a “color your own ornaments” activity for kids. Complimentary cookies and coffee vouchers will also be provided.

Wine Down with Special Prices

Take advantage of District Winery's Black Friday Sale and purchase any wine bottle online or in store for 25 percent off the original price. The sale will run from November 22 - 29 and also include gifts, tasting kits and more. Orders of $99 through their online store ships for free.

Give a Little Bit

Join your Capitol Riverfront neighbors in giving back to the DC community. Steadfast Supply will be partnering with Marine Corps Toys for Tots this holiday season by collecting new, unwrapped toys and distributing them to less fortunate children on Christmas Day. Toys can be dropped off at Steadfast Supply (301 Tingey Street, SE) November 8 through December 8. 

In coordination with THEARC, developer WC Smith is sponsoring a Holiday Toy Drive benefiting families of Ward 8 beginning December 6. Donations for unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the first floor of the Federal Gateway Building (1100 New Jersey Ave, SE) on weekdays. Toys for children ages 5 to 7 are most needed.
