10 Years of Growth Speaker Series: The Positive Impact of Parks

An urban riverfront neighborhood with 11 acres of parks is a rare find, but that's the beauty of Capitol Riverfront. As this vibrant area has grown throughout the Capitol Riverfront BID's 10 years so has the popularity of Yards Park and Canal Park, both BID-managed open spaces that evoke a unique sense of place. Not only do the parks serve as an ideal setting for neighbors to celebrate the outdoors, but they also create real estate value for the development community.

Join the BID on Thursday, May 17th beginning at 8:00 am at the newly opened urban winery District Winery for community networking and a panel discussion that will take a deeper dive into the positive impact of parks, featuring Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen, Georgetown University's Urban & Regional Planning Program Director Uwe Brandes, and The Trust for Public Land's SVP and Director of City Park Development Adrian Benepe.
