1. Summer Placemaking Internship – Capitol Riverfront BID
The Capitol Riverfront BID is seeking a Summer Placemaking Intern to support our Planning & Public Realm team. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in public space management, data analysis, and community engagement in one of DC’s fastest-growing neighborhoods.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and update public space assets in a digital database
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and visualizations
- Support programming and fundraising for the Capitol Riverfront Parks Foundation
- Develop materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Organize office files and records
- Contribute to public realm projects related to planning, safety, and mobility
Location: Washington, DC – 841 2nd ST SE (Primarily in-person with remote work opportunities)

2. SUMMER MARKETING AND OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP - CAPITOL RIVERFRONT BID
The Capitol Riverfront BID is seeking a Marketing and Operations Intern to support our Marketing team. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in marketing, event management, and community engagement in one of DC's fastest-growing neighborhoods.
Responsibilities:
1. Brainstorm and develop content ideas for various social media platforms.
2. Develop a one-month social media content calendar for Facebook and Instagram.
3. Assist with organizing and maintaining social media content calendars.
4. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
5. Assist with developing newsletter content.
6. Assist with BID hosted events, including registration and guest assistance.
Location: Washington, DC – 841 2nd ST SE (Primarily in-person with remote work opportunities)
