Vanessa Rivera-Castillo
Communications Coordinator
As the BID's Communications Coordinator, Vanessa manages the BID's social media accounts and website. She also works to promote ongoing BID projects and positive living in Capitol Riverfront.
Vanessa is from Mclean, VA, just 15 minutes outside the D.C. border. Vanessa earned her undergraduate degree in Professional Writing and a minor in Spanish from Miami University of Ohio (not the nice, sunny one in Florida), and is currently earning her Master's in Strategic Public Relations at George Washington University.
As a new member of the team, Vanessa strives to better familiarize herself with the neighborhood and its residents. So if you ever find Vanessa getting lost in the neighborhood or just wandering around getting content, feel free to stop her and say 'hi'!
